The company, which opened its Hayes restaurant in March this year, was also named Best New Business category winner at the awards ceremony, which took place at Oakley House, in Bromley Common, last Friday night (30 November).
A restaurant in Hayes, Hello Burger, has beaten off stiff competition to take home the coveted Business of the Year award at the 2018 Bromley Business Awards.
Hosted by FHW Events & Marketing, in association with headline sponsor The Glades, and supported by Orpington 1st, Your Bromley and the London Borough of Bromley, the 2018 Bromley Business Awards aimed to recognise and reward the achievements of the local business community across the whole Borough of Bromley. There were eleven categories in total and all category winners were put forward for the coveted title of overall ‘Business of the Year’.
Hello Burger was chosen from among the other category winners for the Business of the Year award because of their impressive business plan, product offering and great service, along with their command of operational data on the business and its performance.
The awards for their Hayes restaurant come hot on the heels of their first restaurant in Sidcup being named a finalist in the National Burger Awards 2018 earlier this year and Best Start Up in the Bexley Business Awards 2017.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tony Adams, Hello Burger’s Managing Director said: “I’m over the moon to have won both Best New Business and Business of the Year in Bromley. The team I work with deserve an awful lot of credit for this. While I control the business side of things, it’s the team who delivers day-in, day-out. They’re looking after our guests, building loyal custom and driving the business forward. We absolutely could not have won without all their commitment and hard work.”
Presenting the award, Dee Scully from headline sponsor The Glades, said: “As title sponsors, The Glades is both delighted and privileged to have been able to help select the prestigious accolade of Business of the Year. Selecting a winner-of-winners from among the successful cohort of category winners was by no means an easy or simple task. We are thrilled to name Hello Burger as tonight’s business of the year and, ultimately, our ambassador for business across the Bromley borough for the next twelve months. Many congratulations to them.”
Speaking at the ceremony Ross Feeney, Managing Director of FHW Events & Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with The Glades to deliver these awards and reward business excellence in Bromley. Learning about the businesses during the judging process has been incredibly interesting and inspirational. There has certainly been stiff competition and all of tonight’s finalists should count themselves as winners. Congratulations to everyone, especially to Hello Burger for being the stand out winner of Business of the Year.”
